  • Callahan State Park (map)

On Sunday, October 27, 2019, the Greater Framingham Running Club (GFRC) will be holding its 16th Annual GFRC Busa Bushwhack Trail Race along the trails of beautiful Callahan State Park in Framingham and Marlborough, Massachusetts.

Entrants in the Busa Bushwhack can choose from two distances, 10 and 5.3 miles, with the shorter distance being a flat and double-track course with one steep hill and the longer distance having four additional hills with varied picturesque terrain. The entry fee of $25 must be received by Friday, October 25. Check-in for the race on October 28 is from 8-8:45 AM and the race starts at 9 AM.

Amenities include commemorative custom knit beanies to all finishers; prizes to the overall first place male/female finishers and first/second/third places male/female finishers in all 10-year age group categories in both races; and unique, commemorative log trophy awards for first place overall male/female finishers and first place male/female finishers age 19 and under and in each subsequent 10-year age group in both races.

This race is part of the WMAC Grand Tree Trail Race Series and is named in honor of the GFRC’s own legendary runner, Rich Busa, who turns 90-years-young three days after the race on October 30, 2019.

Club presidents, officers, members, volunteers, sponsors, spectators, and, of course, runners…we look forward to seeing you all there. For more information and to register, visit:  http://gfrcrun.org/bushwhack/bushwhack.htm
