About WBNA's Red Cup Relay
So, you didn't bake a pie for your neighbor who moved in five years ago, and you STILL don't know their name(s)? Here's your chance....the West Broadway Neighborhood Association of Providence RI, Narragansett Beer, The Avery, and E&O Tap want you to come on down to Dexter Training Ground Park and meet your neighbors! Sign up as a team of four or show up day of and pull a team together day-of. Don't know how to run or jog? Then, walk, crawl, whatever. This is about meeting your neighbors, getting silly, and having fun.

About the Relay
Teams of four people (co-ed is awesome but required) are required. When the "gun" goes off, the first person in the relay drinks a Gansett or a bubbly non-alcoholic beverage. When the beverage of choice is drunk, they run, jog, walk, or crawl 800 yards around Dexter Training Ground Park with a Gansett (aka the baton) or non-alchoholic beverage. When they are finished, they pass the empty can to the next person in the relay, who does the same thing (drinks then runs around the park) until the last person in the relay, who will then run/jog/walk/crawl faster than they ever thought possible around the park with their Gansett or non-alcoholic beverage through the finish line, where you will get some clapping and a pat on the back from your neighbors. There may be a penalty for dropping said Gansett/Bubbly Beverage so hold on tight! This is Pass the Gansett....we encourage you to get crazy with it. P.S. Again, drinking beer is not required at this event. We will have an alternative. P.P.S. Pass the Gansett is a 21+ event, so bring you government issued ID! If you're under 21, then you're considered a Youth and we will have a Youth Run that you can participate in too.

Post Relay Party
After all neighbors are done relaying, a marching band it going to parade all relay participants, if you can still hang :-), to Neighbor Day!! at Luongo Square where there will be free music. Food trucks, vendors, and drinks will be available - not for free, but equally awesome. All neighbors young, younger, and youngest are welcome!

Course
The course is fast and flat about 800 yards. It runs around Dexter Training Ground Park (73 Dexter Street PVD, 02909) and includes Dexter Street, Hollywood, Parade, and yes some actual park running.

T-Shirts
Are included with your entry fee. T-shirts are not included for Youth.

Costume Contest: Won't you be my Neighbor?
