Have your friends and family join you, along with the Franklin High School Girls Ice Hockey team, at their third annual road race at the Jefferson Remington School, 628 Washington St, in Franklin MA. Both courses, a 2k and a 5k, are mostly flat, starting and finishing at the school parking lot. The races are USATF certified and timed with excellent signage to guide runners and walkers along paved roads. With varied distances, this event is for both the serious competitor and the recreational athlete of any age. It’s an ideal event for the entire family—whether they walk the course or run it! NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED and this is the perfect event for those who are involved with the Sofa 2 5k Challenge! Plenty of parking is available and races start and finish at the school. There are changing facilities, bathrooms available as well as indoor facility for warming up prior to and stretching following the race. Plenty of drinking water will be served, vendor booths featuring various sponsors, and prizes for top male and female finishers in each of six age categories in both races. Bring a few dollars to purchase some raffle tickets for a 50-50 cash raffle or a membership to the Adirondack club. This is an event you don’t want to miss!
