The SKL Memorial Foundation provides scholarships to youth in the state of Rhode Island who have lost a parent/guardian or loved one due to an act of violence. The SKL Memorial 5K ~ Families Against Violence Run/Walk is the Foundations main fundraiser and has been put on for the last 4 years as the catalyst to bring awareness to the violence in our cities. The event also brings our communities together to honor those lost to violence while encouraging families to participate in an event that promotes peace, healing, good health practices and the opportunity to be amongst people who want the violence to stop.
Please join us in celebrating our 5th year and first milestone. 

5K Registration starts at 8:30. There will also be a kids fun run course set up on the grounds near the Temple.
